Domaine William Fèvre
Montmains Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay
Crystal clear straw yellow with green hues in the glass. Lots of mineral on the salty chalky nose with a touch of match strike. Bright lemon and lime lead the charge here but Granny Smith Apple and pear round out to finishing flavors of shortbread and toasted marshmallow that are balanced by lip smacking acidity. Finish is long and persistent.

May 20th, 2014Clear, bright, low density lemon yellow-green with a thin water white rim. Restrained granny smith apple, fresh cut grass, chalk dust, subtle asparagus and flint. A young, dry wine with searing but refreshing acidity. threshold bitterness balanced by medium concentration of citrus and apple fruit on the long finish. Medium plus body and medium heat (12.5%) Very good but needs more time.
