Big boy. Dark fruit, nothing subtle about it. The tannins are in a nice place though - abundant but fine grained.

1 hour of slow ox and tasting now as I pour it into a decanter. Sizable sediment but you get the feeling the most is yet to fall out. Crimson color. Raise the glass and you’re sniffing cherries and a fresh cigar while walking through a forest on a beautiful autumn day. In the mouth the feel is full, lacy acid, and a vine-covered wall of tannin. Finish lingers quite some time and I’m gonna need my toothbrush to scrape these tannins off. What we have here is a young adolescent. Fortunately I have a few more bottles and the next will wait at least another 5 years.

Dark fruit, tar, licorice, nice and savory and intense, but a little refined and woody.

Great nose, lively dark fruit. Acid is lively, it tingles in the mouth. Very chalky finish, lingers for a minute plus. Lip smacking. Damn good sipping wine.
