From magnum. The Flagship Red from Donnafugata. 90% Nero d’Avola; 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Syrah. Lovely wine but very New World and modern with loads of quality French new oak. Blackberry fruit. Could have been s high quality Barossa Shiraz except the Nero d’Avola turns it into s medium bodied not full bodied wine. Would like to see it in 5+ years when the oak may have settled down.

Strikingly big and bold, this wine is a massive wad of flavor, tannin and refreshment that needs a substantial & meaty meal as an accompaniment. Love the roasted blackberry flavors saturated with steeped Pu-erh tea.
