Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, plum, blackberry, leather, coffee, cocoa powder, backing spices, including cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, tart cherry, plum, blackberry, notes of oak, leather, coffee and cocoa powder and a medium- long finish of those same flavors. Full bodied, rich mouthfeel, quite tannic, but also a decent amount of acidity, may still be a tad young cutting short the finish a bit. Will let this breathe and decant a bit more and revisit. $90 at B-21.
