No Name Langhe Nebbiolo

After 30+ min of decanting this was lovely. Dark fruit.

Cheers from Bergen, Norway! An absolute picturesque spot for our vacation. Tonight, we visited Altona, a 400-yr old spot that has received 9 straight Wine Spectator awards for their phenomenal wine list.
This wine had the unfortunate duty of following an '07 Dunn Vineyards cab, but none the less, really held its own. Fantastic Nebbiolo. Light ruby color and legs that went on for days. Smelt of raspberries and granite. Tasted very Merlot like, with mid fruit pie notes. Still a bit closed for my liking...try again in 5 years.

Decant for at least an hour

Loved the wine, perfect with my lamb dinner! Tobacco nose, prominent and vibrant ripe red fruit pallet with an earthy finish.

Black cherry, raspberry, roses, violets, tar.

It’s decent

Barolon som var för lite Barolo för att heta Barolo. Doftar apelsinskal, mogna jordgubbar och mjölkiga syror. Smakar mörka bär, rosépeppar, rosor och lakrits. Lagom taninstruktur men uppfriskande syra. Mycket drickduglig nu.

Still haven't discovered a Nebbiolo with smell. But this wine added umph to my spaghetti dinner.
