Napa Valley Chardonnay
Well-integrated, balanced / apple, light tropical, some creaminess, some floral notes. Amazing value too—don’t write it off since it’s from Napa.

Jul 27th, 2020Light straw color, with fresh and very crisp citrus and stone fruit aromas. The palate showed peach, apple and Asian pear flavors, with lemony and toasty notes, lively acidity and balance with the touch of vanilla oak (6 months of French oak aging gives this wine elegance). A delightful complex yet enjoyable and refreshing Chardonnay for about $25. Outstanding value.

1 person found it helpfulOct 7th, 2018Lean and brighter than expected. Chablis-esque with restrained oak presence. Lots of pears an a slightly underripe quality. Mineral and a good value if you can find it for $20.

May 20th, 2017Disappointingly plain when compared to their cabs, but for +/- $15 wholesale, a very good deal indeed.

May 17th, 2017Napa Chardonnay is hit or miss for me, but this was a hit. Powerful, but lean with an acidic, mineral backbone. Candied lemon peel and truffles. I’m told there’s new oak in this, but trust me when I saw it takes a backseat. In fact, you might just mistake this for something from Cote de Beaune.

Jul 29th, 2019Cantelope and touch of acetone on the nose. Very little of the vanilla and caramel that is usually more prominent in Napa chardonnay. Fresh cut grass, a little bitter root, touch of unsweetened lemonade, minerals, and pitted fruit on the palate. Sparkly - not silky - in the mouth. Order 2 dozen briny, fatty oysters for it and party on.
