Good evolution for a 2010. Ripe & resolved blackberries, dark cherries, mocha, beautiful spice and understated baking spices. @ Pebble Beach Food & wine.

Little tight even after resting. Cigar box and eucalyptus on the nose and dark fruit, tobacco were highlights on the palate.

Amazingly amazing, though I know this may seem redundantly redundant, Heitzs will always hold a special place in my heart.

Very smooth and balanced. A little "green" on the finish.

The 2010 started fairly closed, and could use some cellar years. Our cork was slightly bled through, so our bottle may not be representative. Still delicious with some introduced air, and the previous year we had was fantastic. No notes due to oxidation.
