2004: Lively lemon lime on entry. Later, a hint of pithy wood. Low dosage of 1.5gr. Broad on the palate after the initial flash of acidity. Still climbing the ladder.

The 2004 Avize - Champ Cain. Haunting and astoundingly good. Racy, elegant. Great mineral notes supported by ample fruit.

Vintage 2004. Fantastic quaff. Not too fruit forward balance with tantalizing acid on the finished. Opened up more and presented a different taste as we drank it as the yeast came out to play.
