Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasted several vintages, I’m just not a fan of Josh! Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and pronounced spice. On the palate plum and blackberry flavors with pepper and herb spice, very acidic. Big firm biting tannins on medium(-) finish ending with oaky notes. Not my style, for a few $$ more try a Robert Mondavi, much better. Tasting Sample.

In Kauai doing the Costco under $20 cabs. This will stay on the list.

Black fruit aromas with a hint of roasted almonds and dried rose petals. Black cherry, graphite and almond on the pallet along with notes of dark cocoa, vanilla and fresh herbs. Tannins are firm but this wine is quite young. Needs a decant.

Quite fruity and full bodied. Nice nose. Above average acidity. Fairly brief spicy finish. Overall not bad, especially for a US cabernet at this price point. $14

Smooth and strong

Dark purple. Oaky chocolate and a bit of spiciness. Just okay. We just got a puppy. Too busy with her to taste and feel the wine.

Très bon. Le sucre est présent (5.1g) mais pas trop exagéré. Un mélange de fruits rouges mûre, acidité moyenne, un goût assez enveloppé. $19 SAQ. Bon avec spaghetti entre autre.

Really delicious wine! Smooth, round and juicy with blackberry, hazelnut and cinnamon flavors. One of my favorites for anytime drinking!

Excellent red, enjoyed in casual setting on its own. Definitely a repeate purchase.
