Outstanding Krug for NYE dinner with homemade lobster bisque. This beauty just gained intensity over the course of 2-3 h and had excellent toasted brioche and marzipan notes with spectacular smoothness. Can’t wait to see what these are like in 5-10 years.

Vintage 2000. At a good place right now. Has put on weight. Maybe a bit too much oak showing. But, hey, it’s Krug. Very serious. More red fruit than previous bottles. Can improve with age.

We can't believe the people they will give tenure to at Princeton. Congratulations Rob......should be a fun night! Not a huge champagne drinker but this was fantastic......a mouth full of gravel
