Louis Jadot
Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay
Light straw in color.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing citrus, lemons, apples, oak, light vanilla, spices, minerals and white pepper.
Spicy finish with oak and almonds.
This Chardonnay from Burgundy is enjoyable by itself, although a little oaky for me, and watery on the finish.
Very pleasant to drink, and good by itself or with food.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.
13% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Apple, pear, citrus blossom, slight butter(malo), little toast, medium bodied and nice acid. I feel like they introduced a couple new barrels into the program for this vintage and let it go partially through malo. For someone who wants a fuller, toastier PF, I’d say this 2020 is your bottle for the price.

Jan 4th, 2023In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. Pale lemon with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and vanilla oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Consistent quality! Nice! Good value!
