@Lyle Fass Amazing juice! What a score and for 1/2 the cost of an Auguste Clape…

Wow the nose is just beyond. Super pure red currant, spices, smoked meat, wild mint, tree bark, lavender, some granite, herbs and olives. Full Cornas symphony. So precise and defined. Just insane. Bacon. Sizzling bacon. Baconator. Wow what florals. Insane fields of lavender. So fresh, punchy and buoyant in the mouth. Incredible depth and concentration but a clipped finish initially. Juicy and so fine and but showing 10% of itself. Nose is a 9.7 and palate a 9.4 now. This was insanely tight first time I tasted this in winter 18 and took 3 days to get there. It’s more forward now but also needs mega air. The nose is lights out right now. Almost a 9.8. Really tremendous meaty character here. But man the palate is slammed shut. Okay. 9.5 to 9.7 now. Olivey on the palate. So elegant and stunningly perfect balance.

Wide open after three hours, pure sweet fruit. Violets, raspberry. Ethereal and supremely elegant. Mouthwatering fruit. Less olive-y than the ‘14. Still some integration to go and this will live for a while. Gorgeous.
