It’s good, not gran. This wine is as good as a well-made riserva, but nothing more. That said, a well-made riserva is still quite special so don’t be misled by my harshness here. This is still an excellent Chianti.

So much more tense and linear than the ‘10 I tasted a month ago. Yet pure and focussed dark cherry, nicely puckering dry tannins and a lonnnng finish. Not with the best BaPs I’ve enjoyed (‘01 a SuperT). Could need more time.
