Ser Lapo Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Bing cherry, turned soil, mushroom, noticeable oak. Medium body with pale color and medium plus acid.

Sangiovese with a little merlot mixed in. Mild leather, medium tannins, robust, a little dry. Nice mouth feel. A little heavier than most Chianti's (the merlot), but creative use of the grapes. Hats off to the wine maker.

Awesome with some age! Nicely earthy.

Brilliant chianti. The nose takes time to reveal dark cherry, plumb, and sandalwood. The palate is medium bodied but the energy and grip is spectacular. Cherry and tobacco for years.

Flavorful well balanced Chianti. Layered earthiness supporting vibrant red fruits. Medium to full bodied with solid backbone.

Lots of oak, smoke, leather. Medium tannin. Not enough fruit. Mushroom, heavy merlot.

Just Ok.

Earthy Chianti with great depth, full body and soft, rounded tannins for a smooth finish. Very nice.

Once it opened up it was an absolute delight
