Mastroberardino
Riserva Radici Taurasi Aglianico
Such a big wine with shoulders meant to last for decades. When compared to Fuedi San Gregorio - Radici has more new oak and spice with softer tannins. My new man crush.

Apr 4th, 2021This is one for the cellar, but there are so many beautiful things going on already. Nose is piquant tamarind, orange zest, tart cherries, star anise and hints of tar, varnish and grape leaves. In the mouth it’s electric; tannic and surprisingly light-framed, with loads of cherries around an intense acid core. Wild and elegant. So young but it’s already thrilling to drink.

Oct 15th, 2020Some nice leather and tar notes and a smooth tannic finish, but not what I expected from this label.

Jan 29th, 2022Has a great aromatic complexity but is internationalized slightly. Very high acidities will keep it fresh for a long time. Kept getting better for 48 hours and loses all the glamour and superficialness and all that remains is the Italian bitterness, sourness and profoundness.
