Our other wine today is the 2016 Peju Napa Valley Merlot from Rutherford, CA. This wine is a blend of 95%Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Sirah.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, plum, chocolate, vanilla, violets and baking spice.
On the palate is black cherry, plum, blackberry, black pepper, cedar, chocolate, all spice and earth.

Decided for ok time sake to purchase this fine wine again at Wine World at the Watercolors location. We are enjoying it with some of their smoked Gouda, St. Angel, and Havarti cream cheeses with crackers. This 2016 bottle has a nice nose, full depth, with a hint of blueberry, cherry and mocha. Great buy at $35.
