The 2016 Syrah (Santa Barbara County) is a gorgeous appellation-level wine. Dark and pliant with expressive savory and black pepper overtones, the 2016 delivers the goods. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. Sage and lavender overtones linger in the glass. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2018)

One of the best new world syrahs I’ve ever had. Old world savory stem, peppercorn and violets with the amplifier cranked up by a notch or two on the ripe, glossy blackberry and raspberry fruit component. Abundant freshness and tannic structure to frame the opulent fruit

Mmmmm Wow mmmm. This is the Princess result of the Rhone California marriage. Well balanced and deep. Touch hint of hermitage but California born and schooled. Can't wait for my second bottle.

17+. Amazingly young in appearance and on the palate.

Like all Piedrasassi wines, this guy is extremely complex and full of umami notes. Black pepper, lavender, dirt and dried cranberries on the nose. Hints of black olives, dried mushrooms, sage and graphite. Definitely not your typical Cali Syrah, but always a joy.

Wonderful Santa Barbara Syrah. Deep purple colo, medium to full bodied. On the nose and the palate it has a delicious funk to it with black fruit and fine tannins.
