Pierre Péters
Grande Réserve Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay
Very yeasty with rich lime leaf aromas. Firm citrus (lime again) on the palate. Clean bright finish.

Mar 12th, 2024Drank for brunch on Christmas Day 2023 with Elissa’s egg dish. Wonderful pairing. Light, pleasant small bubble mouthfeel, toasted biscuit, slight sweetness on finish. Very drinkable. Flavor seems to go away at finish, but then comes back in a second long wave of mild spice. Very good.

Dec 25th, 2023Hmm. Not as good as previous bottles. More green apple, less mineral cut. Disgorged March 2022.

Feb 10th, 2023. Apparently different from the Cuvée du Reserve though little info available online - after going to check, staff in the store where I bought it (which was also selling the Cuvée du Reserve for substantially less, and the Oubliee for substantially more) told me this is 100% reserve wine as opposed to 50% for the Cuvée du Reserve but didn’t seem too sure.
Overall it did have nice stuffing but next I’m curious to try it next to the standard version
