The nose has mint, green tea, star anise, dried leaves, candied cherries, choke cherries, dried apricot skins, dried roses, dried hibiscus, some wisps of lavender. The palate confirms stone fruit, dusty tannins settle down and repeat dried apricots. Quite complex, yet still feminine. A lovely wine, incredible value.

This big Barbaresco delivered the tar & roses that I always hope for in Nebbiolo. The horchata like grain of tannins on the back end only showed themselves after the food was eaten, and the pillow of dark fruit up front came on early & stayed all night.

Tart cherries, tea, mint, plus earthy, still grippy tannins, mouthwatering acidity. This is what Barbaresco is meant to be. 13 years? Need to come back in 10 and compare.

Fancy stuff🤌👁👁. Well beyond my standard price points. Darker color than I expected. Smells of branches and cola. Plus berries. Flavors are great. Dense and rich. Savory as well. Hasn’t lost much with age.

Great bottle. Love Produttori but have not had this before. With an hour decant this was truly excellent. Intensely aromatic, mouth filling, long finish with a touch of menthol, present but quite silky tannins. Perfect with boar sausage and a ribeye.
