Quilceda Creek
Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Red berries, ripe plum. Cassis. M/m+ tannin. M+ body. Polished, classy and balanced. Lots of black fruit on the palate. Will age beautifully.

Sep 3rd, 20162011 was a tough year, but Quilceda Creekvlade the best of it. Probably a bit early to be drinking this, seems tight and somewhat shallow even after defending, but after 2 hours of air, I taste the depth and quality of this wine. Deep dark fruit grips your tongue on the first sip and doesn't let go. I honestly can't speak to the nose because it is buttoned up and I just smell dinner. Fig, plum, and blackberry are all over this o the palette though. Sit on it until 2020... That's my advice.

Jul 8th, 2016Pops loved this but it really wasn’t showing well to me. I just kept getting cigar box leather and other non fruit. Oh well

Jul 15th, 2020My first Galitzine. Gave it 6h slow ox then a double decant. Drank over maybe 40m. So indulgently good. At first the oak felt separated but soon it melded with focused fruit as one new being. This is QC through and through and what every great American Cab wants to be. My vote is to drink now. This has a long drinking window but aren’t we all in it for the young, supple, decadent fruit?
