Ramey Wine Cellars
Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Had this about a year ago. After stints at Rudd, Dominus, Chalk Hill and Matanzas Creek, winemakers David Ramey and his wife, Carla began their own label in 1996. Sunshine Straw with aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet vanilla oak scents. On the palate apple, peach and apricot flavors, citrus zest with toasty oak. Lingering on a smooth finish ending with creamy notes. Delicious! Aged well. You can still find the 2014, so grab one, you won’t be disappointed.

Oct 8th, 2018I would love to age this a few more years. Seems a little out of sync with high acid lemony flavors and oak. I think this will balance out into something really pleasant soon.
