Had this about a year ago. After stints at Rudd, Dominus, Chalk Hill and Matanzas Creek, winemakers David Ramey and his wife, Carla began their own label in 1996. Sunshine Straw with aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet vanilla oak scents. On the palate apple, peach and apricot flavors, citrus zest with toasty oak. Lingering on a smooth finish ending with creamy notes. Delicious! Aged well. You can still find the 2014, so grab one, you won’t be disappointed.

Apple, lemon candy, butter oak, almonds, popcorn, honey and limestone. Great acidity and balance.

Peach, pear, lime, salted caramel, toasted nuts, and hint of tropical fruits on the nose. Very crisp, almost steely. Leaner than I expected. Good balance of acidity and minerality. High alcohol level of 14.5% is well hidden. Very enjoyable.

Off their list that had no white selections but saw this Ramey & ordered as they always show more of a Burgundian side. Very nice!

I would love to age this a few more years. Seems a little out of sync with high acid lemony flavors and oak. I think this will balance out into something really pleasant soon.
