Meh label design. It’s like basic man. Color of the ruby in a ring worn by a villain. Aroma has a hint of fancy smelling sawdust to go with the berry-cherry jams. Flavors are ripe and fruit forward. There is a nice tannic bite on the finish. Silky and easy drinking. Has a hint of caramel with the very ripe dark berry sauce. This is a CA cab with a decent balance. Oak flavors, but not overselling it. It’s just not very complex or funky. Straight ahead and basic like that label…

Jan 17th, 2025Either I just don’t like Cabs or my palate has changed. But this tastes manipulated to me and a little too sweet and simple. I don’t understand my previous rating. 8.95 at K&L. But would not get again.
