Light straw gold. Young color, young nose. Bright and fruity. Has some depth that will pay off with aging. Brought by a friend to dinner.

Butterscotch candy nose. Pina colada on the palate and this is definitely on the buttery oaky spectrum but it’s done really well and I’m down with it. Vanilla and kiwi. Great acid and great broad lactic finish.

Exquisite for its clean, round and precise presentation. Left it uncorked overnight (outside) by accident - it didn’t move. Just the same on day two. I have the top chard from Montebello on order, and I’m looking forward to the comparison.

Evidently, even Ridge’s chardonnays need a long time to age. The oak on this is still way too pronounced for my taste.. Wood juice.

In a funny spot at the moment. Crazy oaky out of nowhere (same vintage few months back was very integrated). Great raw material, give it 5 years.

Green apple, vanilla, somewhat buttery but not too much. A nice Chardonnay. July 2021.
