Nose has beautifully ripe-tart cherry, wisps of smoke, and just cracked white stones. Intense flavors in a medium weight frame, with excellent acids and a pure, lingering, lip-smacking finish. So youthful tasting. Fantastic with porks chops braised in Marsala, red wine, and tomato paste.

Nov 21st, 2018The purity of Sangiovese fruit on this wine is remarkable. Sweet, oozy fresh 🍒, subtle gravel and cinnamon notes. Intensely flavorful yet lithe, with a long intense and pure finish. I think this will be even better in 2-4 years as it has got some tannic scaffolding too.

100% Sangiovese. Bright ruby red color with a slightly brick colored rim. Quite tertiary on the nose as earth, dried violets, burnt rubber and tobacco are front and center with a hint of dried red fruits. Pallet also features dried red fruits and plums. Plenty of acidity and a bit of well integrated tannins. Medium-plus body. Aging quite nicely. Thanks for opening this one, John B!
