Dark inky in color with a purplish rim.
Strong nose of blueberry stew, cherry pie, blackberries, sweet plums, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, cola, earth, leather and peppercorn.
Full bodied, jammy and bold, with medium plus acidity and nice long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate, with blackberries, black currants, plums, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with firm tannins, bitter spices and cola notes.
A true California Cabernet with all the bells and wistels.
Was too much for me, but nicely balanced and enjoyable by itself. Great wine to pair with a piece of steak.
A bit bitter on the ending, and some vegetables notes, that should all go away in a couple of years. Drinkable now but will age nicely in the next few years.
Grapes are hand picked, and aged in French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

We had this 166 weeks ago, when son in law Tom shared a sister bottle. We matched this up with grilled Tri Tip. Excellent however it now is more dry, with a slight hint of cork. Still fantastic

Second day everything melded together much better.
Too strong a chocolate note for me personally
