Paired well with both Parmesan & cheddar, ham & prosciutto and a cheese flavored cracker. Clear, medium ruby in color. On the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, blueberries, vanilla, pencil shavings, and crayons. On the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of plum sauce, blueberries, white pepper, and crushed gravel with a long finish. This wine is intense, complex, and maybe a little too in your face (which is a little off balanced if you don't like that sort of thing). Overall, I would rate this wine as very good. — 7 days ago
