Chip Dry Extra Sec White Port
Pretty certain most people would use this in a cocktail, not on its own. Nevertheless, it’s alright on its own. Nose of petrol and flowers. Flavors and aromas of citrus rind, honey, and tropical melons. Has an oily texture. Would definitely be great with some tonic.

Oct 29th, 2022Pale amber with aromas and flavors of fruit, blossom and honey notes. Soft yet rich with lively acidity and nice mineral component. Not overly sweet and ready to drink straight up now, but try with tonic and twist of orange, recipe on label calls for lemon twist, but orange in my opinion is much better. Tasting Sample.

Dec 21st, 2019This was a head scratcher. Don’t think I’ve had a wine like this. It wanted to reveal white chocolate and marzipan, but instead it tasted like green tea/chamomile coated almonds. It had some buttered pear and honeyed melon notes on the finish...very unique.

Sep 18th, 2016Tasted at Taylor's visitor's center in Porto, the Chip Dry White carries a bit more discernible sweetness than the other "dry" white Ports I'd sampled that day. It's aged for several years in casks, giving it an oxidative style and subtle nuttiness. Fresh and crisp on the palate, and laden with citrusy, notes, lemon oil and cypress, with a touch of tropical fruit and the merest hint of salinity on the finish. Perfect with a bowl of Marcona almonds. Sample

Feb 15th, 2023I like white porto from this producer. Because the sweetness is softened with a citrus finish.

Jul 30th, 2022Pine and rubber on the nose, some caramel after it sits a while. Wished this tasted more refreshing but it gives mostly the flavor of wood chips in water with a few almonds
