Amaranta di Ulisse Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Vintage 2013 - wine with character, not typical for Montepulciano d'Abbruzo because of its high tannins, cacao, mocca, autumnleaves in smell. Also impression of eaux de vie. In a blind tasting I was mistaken this wine for... Pinotage.

2013 - nice surprise, much wood

Smells: hints of earthy tones, wood and leather
Tastes: Dark cherry, dark, sweet fruit, very juicy

2018 Vintage

Easy drinking Montepulciano. Dark fruit flavors infused with dark chocolate and a light edge of tannins.

Dark purple color with hints of garnet. Bouquet is intense and fruity with notes of dried flowers, spice, licorice and dark cherry. Stylish pallet featuring deep dark cherry flavors with a creamy and spicy finish. Great structure. Powerful and bold - yet Elegant.

Really fruit friendly wine. Bubble gum and blue fruit

Clear, deep ruby red colour with clean, pronounced fruits and flowers on the nose. Dry with high acidity and tannins beautifully matched. Medium bodied but with a long finish and complex flavours of cherries, plums and vanilla. A very good wine.
