Blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits with spice, herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry, fig and blueberry with currants, cacao, pepper and tobacco notes. Fine grainy tannins, good structure, long finish, great mouthfeel, ending with cedar, fruit and tobacco spice notes. Wonderful! Very Nice. Needs cellaring.

The tannins on this have softened nicely although it’s still pretty big. I get cocoa and cherry over tobacco with a touch of baking spice.

This wine pairs perfectly with a ribeye especially right after you just ate a nice juicy piece. It’s a bit in the dry side but it has a big berry flavor with some, I think, espresso flavor when it’s still a bit cool. That changes over to a chocolate flavor on your cheeks but also seemed to slip away after it warmed up further. The berry flavor lingers in your mouth along with the dry finish so that’s nicer than most dry wines. Overall it has a lot of depth and is pretty fun to taste. Since it was $150 and a dry wine, I tended to rate it a bit down since I’m not into dry wines and probably better wines for less. I rate it a A-/B+ because of the above.
