2016 Vintage. 15.5% Alcohol. We were lucky to get into the Top release party as well this trip so was able to taste and meet Elena. Since Gail didn’t go, opened Sunday night. Just a lovely blend of 45% Grenache, 41% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre, and 3% Roussanne. Using Roussanne instead of Viognier makes this wine unique. Bravo Elena and Stanley.

Been a strange and challenging year for everyone, but still extremely thankful with brighter days to come! Today, I’m especially thankful for this wine - a favorite under normal circumstances, but greatness really resonating with a fantastic meal. Happy thanksgiving all!

90 minute decant and OMG was this good! Structured and complex, every sip bringing something new. We had a great time visiting @Stanley Barrios last fall and hope to he and Elena in Minnesota this summer!

Lifted fruit. Plum, cassis and ripe berries. Very high oak with baking spices that opens to very sweet oak and candies fruit.

Nicely done @Stanley Barrios! 2 hour decant and just a beautiful, smooth beast of a wine. Perfectly balanced.

Nice blend, you could pop & pour but I prefer it after a couple hours of air👍🏼

Very extrovert personality ... wants to be center of attention. While I would call this wine “in balance”, the volume on every descriptive is at max levels ... if you like that style, this will blow your mind ... I thought it was fantastic.
Give a little air and slight chill before jumping in.
