Tannins abound.. This needs some time, but with some food was great. Rose petal, fennel, earth, wild berry and great acid.

Three hours in the decant and still a little closed, but with more time the wine unfurled to become more and more primary. Tannin profile note quote as resolute as one may expect from Castiglione, but these Vietti wines do tend to more approachable than most. Watery acid and long finish. Spot on. Worth another look in ten.

Like many Viettis this wine is amazingly accessible given its youth. Strawberry and dried flowers, forest floor and smoke.

Happy with this. Floral nice cherry fruit and well balanced. Not sweet fruity. Long soft finish.

Very nice in a half bottle. It may be young by Barolo standards but it drinks beautifully for us!

Excellent Barolo. Everything one would expect, roses, red fruit & a little smokiness. Effortless weight on this wine with a spicy edge playing off the tannins. One of the best producers around. Great wine in each vintage.
