6 Mile Cellars

Senior Faß 6 Ayler Riesling 2023

Orange blossom and the slightest touch of residual sugar to balance out the razor sharp acidity (and balance out my spicy Thai food). This is a light wine but I can almost taste the slate soils and steep slopes.

Whole-cluster grapes and spontaneous fermentations

From Importer:
Appellation: Saar

vineyard work: All vineyard work is done by hand due to the incline of the vineyards. Absolutely no use of insecticides/pesticides or
fertilizers; the work is completely organic but not certified as such because Florian refuses to spray copper on the vines.

Beaulieu Vineyard

Private Reserve Georges de Latour Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

We had the 2019 Vintage on 6/8/24. The tannins were fine, but this wine will get better in 5 or more years. Tastes of blackberry, plum and mocha. Full bodied. — 4 months ago

6 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú Furmint Blend 2016

Delectable Wine
9.0

The 2016 Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos has retained the somewhat adhesive bouquet that slightly obscures the fruit. It makes this Tokaji seem a little "distant". The palate is well-balanced and pretty, with marmalade and apricot notes. It's not dense, though it displays fine tension on the finish. Fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, April 2024)

Clone 6 Beckstoffer To-Kalon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

David T
9.6

There are worse ways to start a Saturday then tasting & talking wine with Tor Kenward & Andy Beskstoffer having the 1980 BV George Latour Private Reserve & multiple vintages of Tor. Wine 94 technically but age & style 9.6. The experience a 10.

Stunning. When To Kalon still had Cline 6. There is no more Cline 6 today in To Kalon.

Andy Beckstoffer sold fruit for $150 a ton in the late 1970’s, early 80’s. Today, $50,000 plus a ton and a percentage of the producers bottle price. .

@Doug Powers I purchased a case of that for $32 a bottle direct from Australia. The first 5-6 years they drank exactly as you described. I thought time would help them calm down so I stashed them away and they all went downhill. Happy your bottles turned out well.
