Of course a great wine. But it stays a bit to heavy with his 15%. Missing the balance.

Excellent Tempranillo from another relatively young bodega, from Castilla y Leon. Ripe berry fruits with licorice, thyme, and a lovely balsamic touch. Need time to round out the sharp acidity and the firm tannins, but at this young age it paired very well with a juicy steak. — 3 years ago
Blend of 64% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah, 6% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby red color with aromas of red and black fruit and toasty spice, from a warmer year. The palate shows plum and blackberry flavors with smoke, cacao and spice. Vivid acidity, firm ripe tannins, integrated lending to a medium+ finish ending with some earthy notes. — 2 months ago
Ruby colour. Interesting nose - with hints of cherry and star anise. Lovely and smooth. Not overly complex. Tannins firm but yielding on the finish. A solid wine. — 4 years ago
A light red, very nice with some chill, some similarity to Gamay Noir when served with food. We really enjoyed it with octopus and chicken, felt it was a bit astringent to drink without food. — 7 months ago
Nice body, but still fresh, featuring stone fruits with some minerality. — 9 months ago
I’m not at Finca Cortesin but across the street at our new part time Costa del Sol place. Trying different Spanish wines. This Reserva is a nice one that I will continue to purchase. Dinner on our terrace overlooking the Mediterranean and Africa. Under 10 €. — 3 years ago
I had the 2014 in 2022. Full body and elegance. From a winery right at the border to Ribero del Duero. — 4 years ago

Expressive nose of red fruit, slint, a hint of smoke, light bodied and high acid. Ribeiro blend, showing Atlantic. A treat for Burgundy lovers that don’t want to spend that much — 2 months ago
