Still pretty tight, essence of blackberries, cedar, vanilla and and a pleasing vegetal note (think fresh ancho chilies just plucked from the plant) on the nose. On the palette the dark berry flavors combine with hefty, chalky tannins and sweetness from the vanilla combine for a very nice treat. ❤️ — 5 years ago

With oysters on the beach in Point Reyes while the humpbacks are frolicking. Outstanding, — 7 years ago
Bright cherry aromas, Saigon cinnamon, majoram, nutmeg, dried ginger, and ancho chile powder backed by a dusty mineral foundation. Finish is good, but not great, but for the price range, this is tasty. — a year ago
A good, but not amazing Napa cab. Ramey is always dependable, and one of our favorites. The bottle warmed up a bit so this one wasn't at peak. Paired well with a coffee and ancho crusted elk backstrap. The fruit really works well, bringing out the flavor of the elk. Yum. — 5 years ago

Opened this for my wife’s birthday. Mind blowing to know that this was bottled before we even met. ‘The bottle looks like Medieval Times’
