Farmhouse Ale Golden Sour #3 Aged with Black Currants

Golden sour #3 aged with black currants. Very sour but the black currants are just lovely. As it warms it becomes much more floral and the finish smooth from the currants. Berries as well. Some cream. But tons of funky currant juice! — 5 years ago

Starfire Sour Ale

Unbelievably intense lemon and lime zest. Great new small brewery, especially in the unfortunate event that Crooked Stave has a power outage. — 8 years ago

Pulling Nails Blend #2 American Wild Ale

@delectable this is Pulling Nails Blend #15...

“I pulled the notes from Pulling Nails #8 to mimic the fruiting addition exactly - the ratio of raspberries to cherries. Then we blended up what could be the best foundation for these fruits and their refermentation by using the base for the blend #8 as a guide.

Where blend #8 used a portion of spontaneous beer back-blended with a 1-year-old saison, blend #15 uses a base of our lambic-inspired beer (quick turbid mash, funkiest of our cultures, expresses itself somewhere between Coexpressionalism and our old spontaneous beers) blended with Oude Fermier and a Brett-forward saison for some additional Brett spice and classical "funk." The blend was refermented on raspberries and cherries for less than 2 months (just like blend #8 yet unlike any other Side Project beer ever) and then allowed to bottle condition since early May.” - Cory King.

Just what the doctor prescribed after a big day on the Riddoch Hwy tasting what the Coonawarra has to offer.

What better way to end the day than some local frothies in the sun updating my Delectable feed.

Cheers crew 🤙🏽🍺

FYI this pale is spot on.

The Annex Ale Project from Calgary brewed by Metes & Bounds XPA is a world class IPA clean, crisp full bodied but not over powering, it’s a keeper. If you like Big Canadian IPAs this one’s for you. So many great IPAs to try to find the best one and so little time but this one is close. Cheers 🍻🇨🇦 — 9 years ago
