Wow, it has been quite some time since I’ve had a wine so profoundly pure and energetic. Tasting this rare bottling from Thibaud Boudignon is truly a privilege - a scant 1,000 bottles crafted from ungrafted vines within Clos de la Hutte. There’s a youthful reticence here, a sense of coiled power, even after a double decant and three hours of air. Yet the aromas are captivating: flint, chalk, and lemon oil intertwine with green apple, lanolin, and a touch of mint. On the palate, the wine is almost shocking in its intensity. Viciously taut, with enamel-stripping acidity, a saline spine, and gripping dry extract. Despite its lean structure, there’s a surprising volume and density that unfolds on the palate. The finish is remarkably long, staining the sides of the palate with a chalky salinity that seems to resonate endlessly. For me, this wine perfectly fulfils its intent - an unadorned expression of terroir, delivering minerality and purity without artifice. Absolutely my kind of wine. — 4 days ago

a concentrate of Gamay. simple, upright, frank, with a good intensity, fairly typical of this variety. if you like fruity wines, unstructured but with a nice intensity on the fruit, then you will enjoy this nectar without artifice. a true wine, which smells of know-how and authenticity; aromas of red and black fruits: strawberries, cherries, morello cherries, blackberries. a lot of freshness. — 5 years ago

Expression of Malbec "on the fruit" Glu-glu wine. Friendly and approachable. All the characteristics of the grape varieties are expressed here without artifice with a nice know-how. A sort of Beaujolais in darker and more condensed! "Nature" spirit attested by a light sparkling mouth when opening, testifying to a very low sulphite intake. To drink with simple meals, charcuterie boards / mezze cheese, antipasti. Treat!

L’expression parfaite du Malbec « on the fruit » gourmand. Amical et accessible; Toutes les caractéristiques du cépages sont ici exprimées sans artifice avec un beau savoir faire. Une sorte de Beaujolais en plus noir et plus condensé! Esprit « nature » attesté par une bouche perlante à l’ouverture, témoignant d’un apport très réduit en sulphite.
