Never had an oak barrel fermented assyrtiko blend before. Nice rich creaminess and vanilla notes without being bombastic on the oak like some oaked chardonnays. Typical bright acidity and stone fruit/citrus notes - hints of peach, nectarine, lime - balanced with a good amount of minerality and bit of savory notes. Has the body and length of finish of a light-medium red. Was expecting more breadiness from lees but no complaints otherwise — a month ago

Popped and poured. The 2019 “Nykteri” is a blend of 90% Assyrtiko with the balance comprising of some Athiri and Aidani. This was utterly beautiful with bright, powerful lemon citrus fruits and tremendous minerality. The acidity, which was in the medium+/high category, was sneaky well hidden. There was very deft use of large format oak (a combination of used and new) that combines well with the sur-lie style and makes this drop dead gorgeous. The finish was packed with minerals, saline and went on forever. A killer pairing with grilled octopus and coquettes with arseniko from Naxos and apaki. — 9 months ago

Just a bit of Athiri (5%) blended in. Light golden color with green highlights. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, lemon and lime. Obvious mineral notes on the pretty short finish. Vibrant acidity and quite crisp. Light bodied, quite dry and very refreshing. Solid quality for the price. — 8 months ago
