Maybe my preferred orange. Little funky, mineral. SL wine. — 4 years ago
Praleum w SL. Smoky and mineral. Complex. Longish finish. WOTD. Shaded the 82 Margaux.
The profound 1988 Brunello di Montalcino boasts a huge nose of black-cherries and spice box aromas intermingled with scents of wood, smoke, herbs, and cedar, full body, an unctuous, voluptuous texture, great concentration, and surprisingly low acidity. Poggio Antico's 1988 has tamed the vintage's toughness, producing a decadent, hedonistic Brunello that should drink well now and over the next 12-15 years.
One of Brunello di Montalcino's emerging stars, Poggio Antico continues to produce some impressive Brunellos. 1988, RP94, issue date 1994

Very dry with a minerality on the nose with notes of peach and slight petrol. Long, dry finish with more minerality with peach and green apple. — 3 years ago

At a different Mini India location tonight trying out the same wine we had at a different Mini India restaurant. Prefer this over their house red that is a few Euros less. — 2 years ago
Praleum w SL. Disappointing. Remained closed throughout the night. Left 1/4 of the magnum bottle on the table. Suspect not ready to drink.
The profound 1996 Barolo Capalot Riserva boasts a dense, ruby/purple color, and a pure nose of black cherries, raspberries, and blackberries. Layered and multidimensional, with a sweet mid-palate and a blockbuster finish, this is an immense, full throttle Barolo that should age effortlessly for 15-25 years. Impressive!

2019 vintage. Tasted 20 mins after opening. Medium heavy body. Some great complexities in the flavors along with an oppressive amount of concentration. Totally not my style for red Burg/Pinot but it apparently works for them and theirs. Deep Pinot In Rock. Hesher/heavy metal pinot. Let’s go space truckin c’mon. 9.1.24. — 3 months ago
