Beaumont Des Crayères

Château Beaumont

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend 2022

2022 vintage. This large estate is co-owner by Castel and Suntory (the group also owns Beychevelle), and this 2022 represents great value for money. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Compared to the Castel-owned Barreyres tasted alongside, Beaumont features a more black fruit personality, with more concentration and complexity, for only 1 euro more. Terrific value. — 14 days ago

Beaumont truffles pairing service with lamb carpaccio. Raw wine, sediments, au nez on obtient champignon et earthy, au goût surprenamment sucré et facile à boire, pas gras ni acide. — 2 years ago

Delicious. Crisp and not buttery. Pinot noir based - blanc de noir. Aged 4 years on lees. No sugar added to make it bone dry! Lots of chalk in soil. — 5 months ago

Charles Heidsieck

Millésimé Brut La Collection Crayères Champagne Blend 2000

Gold color. Vibrant and still going strong, definitely another 10-20 years left in the 2000 vintage. Unmistakably a Charles Heidsieck but much more refined and harmonious. A wonderful bottle to drink; the QPR is a bit challenging, but no regrets. — 3 years ago
