For 3 euros a bottle, this is a beautiful wine. Not too light but definitely a daily drinkable wine with or without food. — 8 years ago
Ambitious red from the highest vineyard in San Román, Toro. Legado de Orniz is a new project I'm keen to follow. — 9 years ago
Super interesting and very herbal. Slightly oxidized nose. Cut grass, green bell pepper, unripe apricot. — 2 years ago
Bodegas Maurodos Cartago 2012 D.O. Toro, paired with a serious veal chop, roasted piquillos, thick-cut chef-grown potato chips, and tomatoes at Chibo. Brand new wine for the winery coming from a single plot of old vines and named for a landmark curve of the Duero river. 90% Tinta de Toro and 10% Touriga Naçional, aged 3 years in 100% new French oak and 1 year in the bottle. Dense savory and more concentrated than San Román. Superb integration of oak, cranberry, wet stones, needs time. 2,000 bottles produced. #gos2016 — 8 years ago
