Dark reddish purple with near black core. Inviting nose and medium full palate of ashy blueberry, red blackberry, and high-cocoa dark chocolate. Dusty, medium plus tannins present (but not assertive) from entry. Medium acidity wrapped up in it all, and a lengthy finish wraps it all up. Classic California PS with enough stuffing for the connoisseur, but still enough approachability for the novice. Drink now through 2030. — 2 years ago
Raspberry jam, tart, flowers, better with a chill. Excellent! — 4 years ago
Ran out and bought another. Typifies the good stuff of RRV ! The nose and palate were beautiful while cooking, and even better with the salmon! — 9 months ago
Best bottle yet!! PnP. Dark red color. Sour cherries and green elements on the nose. Sweeter than normal which was nice. Medium depth and full of flavor - burning wood. Great QBR! Sad it’s my last bottle but have the ‘13 vintage in the cellar. — 2 years ago

Easy drinking blend. Great value. — 3 years ago
Very unique wine with a slow building flavor. Earthiness, wood, Blackberry, blueberry, red pepper, and a full round mouth. Easy tannins with that slight satisfying effervescence. Beautiful wine — 4 years ago
