Dusty, (over) ripe black cherries, uplifting herbs, a hint of tree bark and a slight whiff of mushroomy undergrowth.
So smooth & polished on the palate. Great flow, precision & energy. Depth, too. Polished yet firm tannins, energetic acidity, pure fruit. This is rich yet restrained, with savoury fruit and great drinkability.
Delicious stuff! — 2 years ago
Bright ripe with a tang that reaches the way back sides of your tongue.
Smells of greens and yellows - Smokey green herbs and sliced yellow starfruit.
Has a fleshy, creamy texture sitting under sour tropical fruits - tastes like key lime pie and mango sorbet and candied Limoncello. — 4 years ago
Pale-medium, lemon color.
Aromas of pineapple, floral, lychee.
Dry. Flavors of honeysuckle, orange blossom, lychee, mandarin. Bursting with flavor!

Beautiful Brunello! Silky textures with a lovely balsamic fragrance some 14 years later! The cherry effects are haunting — 4 years ago

The description: 'Freshness, Fruit and Richness, the promise of Lavantureux Petit Chablis''.
The Petit Chablis from Roland Lavantureux is like a Bourgogne blanc from Antoine Jobard or Jean-Marc Roulot—a delicious, meticulously crafted wine that offers a taste of the magic found in the domaine’s more exclusive wines, with all the refreshing minerality and stoniness that is the hallmark of cool-climate Chardonnay grown on limestone. A sketch by da Vinci isn’t the Mona Lisa, but it still comes from the master’s hand.
The opinion: complex and beautiful.
