Delicious wine from Michael David! Randy Fuller nailed this, especially the Lanolin Aroma, a new experience for me! Presents red berries, cherry, watermelon, crushed river rock, and spice! Years back, they made a great chardonnay, "Seven Heavenly Chards".
Does anyone else recall this? Or am I just showing my age!

Juicy dark fruit. Light+ mid palate with subtle smoke and minerality. Tart fruit acid finish, mellow tannins. Very good, would like to see how it ages. Thanks Hilary and David from Jones Lang LaSalle Brokerage. — 6 years ago
Calistoga, CA vineyard. Sits 300 ft above valley floor. Planted 1992 by David Abreu and Heidi Barrett until 2008. Then Thomas Rivers Brown took over. Nearly $100/bottle — 6 years ago

This is Wirra Wirra Shiraz "Vineyard Series", McLaren Vale, Australia, vintage 1994.
This wine is so good, they should figure out a way to bottle it. It's the best wine I've had in a few years, and I give it a 10! It's just perfect.
The wax seal was fun, and my ah-so opener did a fine job with the cork. Upon opening, this Shiraz presented strong meaty and sweaty notes.
The color is a beautiful pale purple.
This is so soft and luxurious on the tongue, with bright red fruit prominent. A little bit of tartness, so I'll say strawberries and cranberries. Any secondary flavors (leather, spice, smoked meats) take a back seat to the fruit. The slightest tannins on the finish, but so slight and soft.
Patience paid off, this wine is perfect at 31 years. I would not want to let it rest any longer.
The fine print from the back label:
This Shiraz was sourced from the Jones Block vineyard by grower David Paxton and produced by winemaker Ben Riggs. Aged in American and French oak barriques until its release in 1998. 168 dozen bottles made.
A simple label holding a spectacular wine!
