Castel Giocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2014

March 2024. Solid, classic, very enjoyable Brunello. Have had 2 vintages if this wine now. 2014 here and the 2016 in a restaurant. This 2014 (not a great vintage year) was surprisingly very good. The 2016 was young,so we decanted. It was much better, as expected given the great vintage year ‘16 was. Look forward to having more of this! — 2 months ago

Puer Apuliae Castel del Monte Nero di Troia 2004

At the end of its life but still kicking. Powerful Nero di Troia with smooth tannins. Perfect lamb accompaniment. Starting to pick up some balsamic notes but those flavors go well with lamb. — 10 months ago

Good Aglianico from Puglia. Nice sweetness and more polished tannins since my last bottle. Very aromatic nose. — 3 months ago

Domaine du Castel

Grand Vin Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

From a magnum bottle.
The cork was challenging, too dry and crumbled on its way out....
A very powerful nose and a full body, tasty, exceptional balanced wine is experienced.

Bel Lago Vineyard

Auxerrois Blanc 2017

Alsatian White varietal from Michigan. Loads of mouth watering acidity! Complex nose of orange, lemon and white flowers. Lemon-Lime flavors with a hint of fresh cut grass. Minerals and chalk on the finish! Totally interesting! Really delicious! Revisited in November 2022. Still fresh tasting. Reached its peak. — 3 years ago
