Superb 2013 lalande Pomerol drinking perfect in 2025. Wondeful expression of plum and blackberry and oaky blackcurrant. An u forgettable suprise forgotten a bit in the cellar and glad it held up to time. — 10 months ago
Beautiful out of the gates. So much deep and savory spice behind a wonderful veil of warm red fruit. Ripe raspberry jam, lovely red plum, pastille, an array of spice from pepper, Ceylon cinnamon, and star anise to menthol and bay leaf. Gorgeous smokey and leathery tones throughout. A show stopper from such a subtle vintage, really inviting with its red profile and aromatics. The tannins have a touch of coarseness, but I find the use of whole cluster to highlight them, it is textural and firm but never sharp. Soulful, love it. Lot 16 12.4. — 6 years ago
Classical Right Bank of Bordeaux blend of Merlot 60%, Cab Franc 35%, Malbec 3%, Cab Sauv. 2%, this particular V.2020 delivers an incredible array of soft ripen cherry aromas, decent structure, not so highly complex, but it has few layers of mulberry compote, dark cherry and açai berry, balanced acidity, nice hint of oak in the mid-range.
The most remarkable aspect was the soft tannins and its smoothness is so inviting that its finish provided a subtle savory taste at the back end of the palate. Awesome!
This wine will give the full round for the money, accessible price point that outperforms seamlessly, a crowd pleaser!
