This wine is drinking perfectly right now. Had it side by side with a 2005 Gazin and the Lichine was much better. — 4 years ago
The 2014 Trotanoy has a more complex bouquet than the 2014 Gazin, with more Pomerol DNA in the mix, iron-tinged red berry fruit, black truffle and cedar. Fine delineation and quintessentially Pomerol. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and harmonious, soy-tinged black fruit with white pepper sprinkled over the finish. This has personality and class but needs time (comme d'habitude). One of the standouts in what is an inconsistent Pomerol vintage. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting. Pyrazene, just ripe black cassis, mint and ash, deep lavender leaf, soft & smooth & round. Creamy vanilla on the finish. Very structured - grippy tannins on the finish too — 6 months ago
Really nice everyday Bordeaux, once it opened up. Yet another fantastic value from PCC. So good with my local grassfed steak. I would definitely buy again. — 9 months ago
March 2024. Finished this 2010 bottle, first tasted vertical w/2016. This is so good. Black fruit, leather. Cabernet and merlot. Perfect blend. — 2 months ago
Enough age to bring the fruit intensity down a notch, & man that’s some good fruit- emphasis on the cassis & blackberries. Usually not a mega fan of Bordeaux, but this fit the bill for a shared bottle with friends, drink outside on the banks of the Hudson. — 6 months ago
Deep ruby Medium intensity aromas of violet, rose petal, blueberry, cassis, plum, bell pepper, baking spice
Dry, high acidity, medium+ tannins, high alcohol, full body,
Very good quality - needs a bit of time but has lot of promise.
