La Brulade Bandol Mourvedre 2019

Had a previous bottle 1,5 years ago. I didn’t notice much evolution. Again, I expected more from a wine with this pricetag. Still got 2 left, I will revisit in 2 to 3 years — 3 days ago

with permission, you are drinking too early. I had a Bandol that was undrinkable and became a beauty after twenty years… 🫣

@Anthony De Blasi, ditto to @Peter van den Besselaar’s comment about aging, good Bandol has remarkable longevity.

Bandol Rosé Blend 2025

Lots of strawberry and minerality. Very nice rose. Has substance and backbone. I do like the slight bitter finish as my brother mentioned in the previous review of this wine. — a month ago

Bandol Rouge Mourvedre Blend 2021

It’s really infanticide to drink this, but I have a few bottles and wanted to see where this was. Even after 2+ hours in a decanter, it’s still tightly wound up. Subtle dark cherry and tree bark scents reluctantly emerge. On the palate the tannins are present but nicely managed, and there’s ample acids. Re-check in several years. For now, 8.9 but with lots of upside. — 9 months ago
