For my 40th birthday. Spectacular black and red fruit, velvety texture and tannin, perfectly balanced spice, and great balance of acidity. Decanted and improved over the course of the night. A very memorable wine. @Lyle Fass — 2 months ago
Medium ruby garnet with a quite wide garnet rim . Quite explosive from the off with spicy , stemmy violet , smoky darker fruits, touch of cassis with some dark cherry , and allspice. On the palate this again shows quite exotic fruit , mix of red and dark , dry spices with smoky violets . This has quite a generous mouthfeel with some noticable tannin still and balanced acidity . Quite long and mineral tinged on the palate , with smoky , cherry , black tea finish . Still pretty young and fruit driven , balanced alcohol and ripe tannin. Probably better in 5 - 10 years and will last well a further 10. — a month ago
Quite light medium ruby, with wide garnet rim . Quite a lot of spicy darker fruits , with blackberry , dark cherry , very fruit driven still , floral hints . On the palate there good density and bright acidity , quite rounded ripe but gritty tannin , with a quite sweet spiced darker fruit profile , with a touch of anise , earth and dark cherry on the medium length finish . This is drinking well and still showing quite a lot of fruit , quite rounded and ample in style . From now and over the next 5 or so years . — 4 months ago
Youthful medium-dark color, great red and blackfruit aromas and flavors, excellent balancing acidity, still shows quite a bit of structure, but tannins are not harsh, I’d guess 3-5 more years of further aging is merited, but it may last much longer than that, long, lingering finish, excellent Crozes!! — 5 months ago
What a great wine! Pinot Noir from the Cote Champenois. Very mineral, with some nice red fruit on the palate. You can taste where a Blanc de Noir gets its profile from in this wine. Great to have this “Grand Cru” with some age on it (9 years). I picked up two bottles up in the silent bid auction of the 2025 Wine on Wheels event. Such a lucky buy. Enjoyed with home cooked grilled lamb, sautéed mushrooms with a Sherry reduction, asparagus and wild rice medley. Pretty good, although probably a touch better with something more along the lines of poultry (roast chicken or duck, maybe turkey). — 2 months ago

This has just started to shift from fresh to aging.
Bruised red apple/pear, lemon, lime zest, tropical melons, drier stone fruits, whipped cream, ginger, brioche, graham cracker, very light caramel/butterscotch notes, grey volcanics, limestone marl, sea fossils, gritty chalk, white & yellow flowers with greens, excellent lively acidity and a well balanced-knitted, elegant & smartly polished finish that lasts near two-minutes. — 6 days ago
