Casual pour of the Sunday evening part 2. Very young, needs air. A bit harsh around the edges at first but settles down after a while. True to type. Cherry, green bell pepper, black pepper on the nose. Good acid drive, nice cherry note all along, some vivid mouthfeel, some drying tannins in the rear. There is some width and some dusty, drying effect starts a long and fruit-forward finish with an umami twist which makes it great, with almost a touch of meat juice. It's a very good wine but I suspect that it could be even better in another 2 or 3 years. — 6 months ago

Lestage 2010, a bit of aging on it. Nicely integrated now. Tar, cedar and black currant on the nose. A nice meat juice and truffle note is lurking in the back. The palate is not the broadest or the most impressive but shines with its acid drive, its nice peppery notes, its bright black currant touch and its polished tannins that are now well integrated. There is a nice bitter note blossoming over a finish that sports some black currant and peppery touches. It's a good wine and it has still some time ahead, it's still has a young wine profile. We paired with duck confit and cooked apple, a great pairing. — 6 months ago
Last night I opened the 2016 Château Rose Sainte-Croix made from Left Bank Bordeaux grapes mainly the Médoc - Listrac. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, menthol, licorice, spice, some oak and dark earth.
On the palate I am getting black cherry, blackberry, black currant, cedar, licorice, tobacco, herbs, a vegital note, spice and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy sandy tannins that leave you with a long dark fruit earthy finish. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend, please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago
