Really have to agree with the wine title- this seemed “textbook” Merlot. Yes, there were some dark berry flavors, strong spices and modest tannins for a young wine. Another bottle in my search to find my wife a plethora of good merlots. This will stay on our list of must drinks. — 3 years ago

Very fresh for 15 years. Enough tertiary funk to play well on the table. A fun cellar release from KLWM — 9 months ago
Well structured and balanced wine; great density and silky tannins. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar and clove meet on the palette. Great find! — 3 years ago
Great taste, less filling. All the crispness of an excellent SB but with some boldness and more flavor than your average bear — 3 months ago
Red fruits, toasty oak, subtle hints of tobacco and earth. Approachable and smooth. — 3 months ago

Just received the 2021s and thought I’d open a bottle. Decanted 15 minutes. Big red fruit - cherry, plum. Lighter bodied for a cab. Fruit is overpowering and just on the edge of too ripe. Tannins are soft with a slightly grippy feel. Good value. Someone rated this 97 which seems a bit high to me. — a month ago
